Docks

Our docks are constructed to last by using additional inside piles the way my family has been building docks for forty years in New York, it makes for a stronger and straighter dock. We only use marine grade 2.5 lb. treated piles. Deck boards are treated with wax for less splintering. For hardware we use dome head galvanized bolts with heavy plate washers and stainless steel deck nails.

Bulkheads

We build navy style bulkheads using wood or vinyl vertical sheets. Our typical bulkhead is built using 8" butt piles with 2.5 lb. treatment 6' on center. We use 6"x 6" timbers and 4"x 6" clamps with heavy 3/4" thick hardware. The bulkheads backing system consists of 8" butt deadmen, 25' lay logs and 1" thick tie back rods.
